New Line Stone Panel
Pinstripes: lines about 2 mm apart, dense enough that at three metres the wall reads as a soft grey rather than as lines at all.

Technical data sheet, MBXYIS (PDF, 0.6 MB)·Colour card, 106 surfaces in four series (PDF, 10.4 MB)
This is the finest pitch we make and the closest to a machined metal finish. The lines are cut to a constant depth of about 1 mm and run the full 2950 height without a break, which at this density is the only way it works: one wandering line in a field of 600 is a scar.
Five millimetres and 6 kg, in 2700 and 2950 heights. At this pitch the sheet is almost flat, so it is the one to use where a fluted wall would be too much: behind a reception desk, on a lift lobby wall, on the side of a joinery unit. It goes out as wall cladding panels for lobbies and stair cores, where a light grey with almost no pattern will not date.
Almost flat
The relief is 1 mm, which is nothing, and yet the wall is not flat. What you get at this density is a change in sheen rather than a shadow: the line tops catch the light and the grooves do not, so the surface shifts as you walk past it. Under a hard downlight it goes almost metallic.

Lobby, then showroom
The lift lobby is a full-height run in the pale grey with a shadow gap at the ceiling, no trim. The showroom is the same sheet in a chalk, used as the back wall of a display bay where a deeper flute would have competed with the product.
Installed, new line stone
Good for
- Lift lobbies and reception walls
- Joinery faces and the sides of a reception desk
- Showrooms, where a deeper texture would fight the product
- Ceilings in a low room, because the relief is only 1 mm
Not for
- Exterior walls; at this depth the lines silt up
- Anywhere it will be touched repeatedly
- Walls seen only at an angle, where the lines disappear
It wraps like card
The bend shot is a 5 mm sheet on a 200 mm radius, which is the tightest in the series. At this pitch, and this thickness, the sheet behaves like a heavy card and takes a small column without a joint.
Bent by hand, no heat
Pale grey, chalk, graphite
Three. At 2 mm pitch the colour is doing most of the work, so the card stays neutral: the pale grey in the shot, a chalk white and a graphite that looks like brushed steel from a distance.

Questions we get asked
How many lines on a sheet?
Roughly 600 across a 1200 width, at about 2 mm centres.
Does it look like corrugated plastic?
No, because the pitch is much finer and the depth is 1 mm rather than 10. It reads as a surface finish, not as a profile.
Can it be used on a curved reception desk?
Yes, down to about a 200 mm radius, which covers most desk returns.
How does it clean?
A damp cloth across the lines. Nothing collects, because the grooves are 1 mm.
