Aman Line Stone Panel
The quietest wall in the range. Ivory, with lines fine enough to read as grain and a vertical banding underneath that only shows when the light moves.

Technical data sheet, MBSXS (PDF, 0.9 MB)·Colour card, 106 surfaces in four series (PDF, 10.4 MB)
Aman is the name the factory gave it after a hotel in Phuket that used it on every corridor wall. The face is a fine vertical line at about 3 mm, cut shallow, over a base that carries a soft vertical colour band, so the wall has two patterns at two scales.
Eight millimetres and 9 kg, in a single 1000 × 2650 size. The weight comes from the density needed to hold the fine line without the sheet going soft, and the single size is deliberate: it is a hotel product, and hotels want one sheet, one joint height, no decisions. It is specified as a thin stone veneer for hotel corridors in the Aman manner, at nine kilos a square metre rather than forty.
Two patterns, one wall
Stand back and you see the banding; stand close and you see the lines. Neither is strong enough to dominate, which is what makes it work in a corridor where a guest walks past the same wall twice a day for a week. It does not become annoying.

Resort, then spa
The resort lobby is a full-height run in ivory, with the banding aligned across the joints because that is the only thing that would show if it were not. The spa is the same sheet behind a treatment room basin, in a room with almost no daylight.
Installed, aman line stone
Good for
- Hotel corridors and lift lobbies
- Spa and wellness rooms
- Residential halls and stairwells
- Walls that will be walked past daily and must not become tiring
Not for
- Feature walls; it is too quiet to be a feature
- Exterior facades
- Rooms where the wall needs to hide a poor substrate: the fine line shows every hollow
A gentle radius
The bend shot is at 400 mm. The sheet will go tighter, but the fine line starts to compress on the inside of the curve and the banding gets a kink in it, so 400 is where it still looks straight.
Bent by hand, no heat
Ivory, and two greys
Three: the ivory in the shot, a warm grey and a cool grey. The ivory is the hotel colour and sells in volume; the greys go to residential work where the lighting is warmer and less even.

Questions we get asked
Why is there only one size?
Because hotels specify by the corridor height and 2650 covers it. Other heights can be made to order at 300 m².
Is the banding a print?
It is cast into the face, in the same pass as the lines. There is no print layer to delaminate.
Does it work with warm lighting?
Better than with cool. Under 3000K the ivory goes slightly golden, which is what the hotel scheme was after.
How do you align the banding across a joint?
The sheets are numbered from the factory in run order. Keep them in order and the banding continues.
